I wonder if this is a case of you having a strong memory attached to the image that fills in the sounds and feeling and significance that are quite hard to read for us? (is it an illuminated installation or a hue-shifted spot light on a white wall? are they touching a surface like a balloon or waving their hands in the air?...)

thanks, nice ones

Ah, I see what you mean about the silhouette. It was taken at the science museum in London and the children were touching a giant interactive screen that changed colour in response to their touch. However, I can see that if the subject needs explaining, then it isn't really a haptic shot.

Thumbs up Re: kids science shot

Hi John,
thanks for the clarification. It is a very haptic shot but shows how some shots are context dependent and others not. I love the hands of the kids which are a beautiful and complete motif on their own. There's nothing graphically stronger than a sillouette on a coloured ground like that too (think ipod campaign).

thanks

Re: middle grandson

Hi Patmore,
great snow story! and great madonna and child shot! it's got touchy feely in spades and a big side-order of loving gazes. :-)

Yes I agree, that's a hands-on-picture for sure.

Re: Haptic shots

I imagine setting up that photo caused a few problems.
