Good news, it's due for an update. Will it focus any faster? Slow focusing was the only thing that let down an otherwise superb lens in the original.

For many years I used an Olympus 35-RD that has a 40mm f/1.7 lens and have often felt it was the perfect "Street Shooter".

Improvement in the image quality, would be minimal for such a good lens, but comparisons will undoubtable be made and I look forward to seeing if there is any decernable difference.
