Question Canon High Resolution Paper Discontinued? Alternatives?

I've been using Canon High Resolution Paper (in 11" x 17" and 13" x 19") for proofing in a Canon i9100 for several years. I last purchased it (direct from Canon) a year or two ago. Now I'm out again, and can't find it on Canon's site, or anywhere else. They don't seem to have replaced it with another product.

Anybody know if they've really discontinued it?

Are there any reasonable priced alternatives?

Thanks!

If I recall, this is a thin, smooth bright white matt finish paper. It has an almost powdery finish?

You could try Epson Heavyweight Matt or Archival Matt - it's a heavier paper base, but the surface finish isn't far off.

Ian:
That sounds like it.

Do you have any experience with Red River paper?

Thanks,

Brian

Re: Canon High Resolution Paper Discontinued? Alternatives?

Hi Brian,

For proofing I use Epson Photo Quality Inkjet Paper, I think that the reference no. is S041061. It is only 102 gm/m˛ but gives true colour results for my Canon i9950, and it is much cheaper than heavier papers.
