Vexation

I bought a battery grip for my D90 and somehow managed to lose the battery cover plate off the camera. No shops selling them so phoned Nikon. No problem, got the part number, 2 so all is cool. Aye, 2.72 p&P with a 71p frank on the envelope. Now I know I am just a tight Scotsman but that is pretty bad in my opinion.

Re: Vexation

That will be 71p to the mail and 2.1p to Nikon for handling.
Best not to lose this one

Re: Vexation

Update: Wife tells porkies, it was £2.72 for the cover and £2 for p&p (plus VAT obviously). Still bad.

I have t o say I disagree, when you take into acount the cost of packaging probably a padded envelope, the persons time that packed it costs money, minimum wages being just over 6 an hour which equates to over 10p a minute, say 5 mins to address and pack the item. Thats assuming the packer is on minimum wages, very likley they earn more. Lets not forget the accompanying letter, and with the regular overheads taken into account it all sound very effeciantly and reasonable to me.

Re: Vexation

We will have to agree to disagree then Patrick. ;-) 5 minutes to print a receipt and my name and address and pack it is far too long. I would sack them personally. Loiterers and wasters. She probably stood and discussed Corri with her mate whilst doing it as well. (hope it is not sexist thinking it was a female :-))
