Photo critiqueHere is where you can display your images and seek the comment, advice and, maybe, constructive critique of your work. Only post your images here if you are happy for frank feedback. If in doubt, use the beginners board instead. Only post your comments here if you feel you can make a constructive and polite contribution in response to what is, for some, a leap of faith in exposing their work to your critical comment.
It was given to me by my father last year and as soon as it was given to us, me and my wife went up to my fathers local church and took a few pics.
As you will see by the clock on the church it was winter time.
My wife encouraged me to post these as she thinks they are very good.
I haven't used it much as normally when i get home with the shots from this camera they are not very good.Plus ive really only just been bitten by the photography bug!.
They're very good, especially as they're the first pictures you ever took.
They're nicely framed, you obviously have a good eye for a picci. Your horizontal and vertical lines are near enough straight. I'd say you're off to a pretty good start with that Sony camera.
As Pol says the composition looks fine and they are in focus They look dark on my screen but that is probably because the camera has not done a very good job with the metering. You might want to become acquainted with the histogram function in your camera which will be able to alert you if the exposure is out.
Sounds like the seeds of an article about histograms!
As mentioned above I also think you have a good eye for photography, framing of an architecture should be the way you captured.. last image some may think is little dark but works for me..
