Re: My posts aren't showing up?

Kev, can you see this?

You were presumably able to see your posts in this thread previously? I can't see anything obviously wrong with your account? Which web browser are you using and can you try a different one?

Ian

Re: My posts aren't showing up?

That's odd - I often log in with both IE and FireFox - I use FF by default.

It sounds like a cookie issue - have you tried deleting DPNow cookies in FF?

Re: My posts aren't showing up?

you can also try to hold down shift key and press refresh page, sometimes the browsers don't update the page and show an old one even after simple refreshing.

Re: My posts aren't showing up?

It's called web cache. To speed the surfing up your browser stores some stuff into comp. When you log on you are not exactly the same place as when logged out (one has login information in addition). Now your comp wants to be so smart and make things faster so instead of loading the new information from web it sees naah I have pretty new data on my disk for that page (or maybe even your proxy server thinks so).
You can clear the cache from somewhere under options menu or just hold down shift when refreshing.
How exactly the cache rules work I don't know, 99.999% of the time is everything ok and you won't even notice it but that 0.001% might get sometimes annoying.
You can get this issue more when updating a webpage and want to see if changes take effect - some servers have own cache and sometimes it will take several minutes for them to update. I have seen issue in another forum while trying to change a linked pic with a same name in a post - there were com, forum and web server cache.
So to see the update in forum you had to first delete the pic, refresh the web, upload another pic, then link it again and refresh forum - or change the name of a pic (what was more annoying to do).
