Photo critiqueHere is where you can display your images and seek the comment, advice and, maybe, constructive critique of your work. Only post your images here if you are happy for frank feedback. If in doubt, use the beginners board instead. Only post your comments here if you feel you can make a constructive and polite contribution in response to what is, for some, a leap of faith in exposing their work to your critical comment.
Yes it is indeed beautiful, worth the long wait, eh.
Keep photographing them as they open. Also try photographing them at eye level next time instead of pointing the camer downwards at them ... if you see what I mean.
Pol is right, don't be afraid to get your knees wet
I like the darker background which makes the subjects stand out well.
I also see that you stretched the zoom into digital zoom. Many say that this reduces the quality of the photo and should be avoided whenever possible.
Nice pictures and very nice flowers. My suggestion is to take more pictures but use your Sony a300 instead of the point and shoot. You can get more control with the a300, for instance you could use a fairly large aperture which would give a smaller depth of field and put the background out of focus which will make the flowers seem sharper and stand out more. Experiment with different apertures then compare the results.
