Yesterday saw ours seafront packed out with what our media described as a crowd of 15000 people. Always difficult to get a good spot (as Ian testified in his portrayal). Here are a few from the day. Not brilliant and some heavily cropped but I hope you get the gist of the occasion. 18 different torch bearers completed the route

There were so many other places I wished I could have been along the route that would have produced far better pictures but it was just a privilege to witness a unique occasion on our island

I know there are lots of Olympic naysayers but I think it is a great thing and the popularity of the Torch relay has fully supported this.
