Sorry, but it's not Urquhart, which dates back quite a bit earlier.

Mind you, it's good to see a bit more activity on this thread, especially from another 'Jock' (being one mysel', although non-resident!)

After a fair amount of searching Scottish castles (and there are lots of them

) I think this one is Blackness castle on the Firth of Forth.

Bet you didn't view it from the pier too often. Most of the pics I found were taken from the land side which no doubt you would recognize.
