I thought bakeries had wonderful windows showing off their confectionery etc not great big wooden doors that look like the entrance to a solicitors office! Like the tricycle though. Oh to be to old....or told!

Yeah - I can remember the bread man knocking on the door with a big wicker basket of wares...

Actually a lot of bread back then was not very nice

Incidentally, that's not the bakery it is parked outside. I don't know where the bike came from but it turned up in the village during our Jubilee celebrations. Our nearest baker, or shop of any description, is 3 miles away in Dunmow. We do have a pub, though. Oh, and the country's premier Rolls Royce/Bently dealership. Can't buy a pint of milk however.....
