Instagram effect on Black and White

I was fooling around with the Facebook App called Instagram and came up with this rendition of a shot I took of the statue of Atlas at Rockefeller Center in NYC.

Hey Pat - sorry for the tardy response. That's a great looking response. I'm glad people are using smartphone app effects beyond ripped borders! Of course with the new Leica M Monochrom, black and white is topical at the moment, too. There is no exif data in your photo - which smartphone model did you use?

Hi Ian,

I use an iPhone 4. The picture quality isn't bad and I always have a camera at my fingertips.

Oops! Gotta clarify something. That particular shot was taken with a Canon EOS XSI. Instagram on the iPhone allows you to modify any photo in your folders, including those you've uploaded from another source.

Re: Instagram effect on Black and White

Here's another Instagram treatment. This time the photo was taken with an iPhone.

Re: Instagram effect on Black and White

Found another free iPhone app called PIC Collage. It will create a collage in several different orientations and frames.

Re: Instagram effect on Black and White

Somehow a Facebook App called Stupeflix created a short "video" of the Instagram effects I applied to some of my photos and drawings.
