House Sparrows

Sitting in the garden this loverly sunny afternoon just shooting the house sparrows with my old Olympus E-1 and 70-300mm, who needs the latest and greatest gear.

E-1 & 70-300mm, raw processed in CO6.

Re: House Sparrows

Hi Paul -

How pleasing to see.

The E-1 I think will be a classic in time - it takes such good images as the pix here show. Great depth of field too in these images.

Regards. Barr1e

Re: House Sparrows

I can see what appears to be a very slight halo around the first sparrow - maybe a touch over-sharpened, but the rest are perfect and really show how the good the ZD 70-300 can perform in the right hands! It looks like you are fully recovered, Paul

Re: House Sparrows

Thank you Barrie.

Thank you Ian and you are correct, but not over sharpening as all images had the same sharpening settings but just a exposure mask in CO6 Pro not correctly applied, I have fixed it now, thanks for pointing it out.

Nearly fully recovered Ian just a slight discomfort and the occasional pins and needles in my hand, must be better as I have shot 800 frames in the last couple of weeks which must be a record for me as I am usually most conservative in how many I take.

Thumbs up Re: House Sparrows

Oh wow. These Sparrow pics are all beautiful. I especially like the ones of the female; she chose such photogenic perches and poses.

I was considering an E-1 at the time. A lass on another forum had one given as a gift from her husband. She never ever posted a picci that was actually in focus though - neither with her E-1 or any other camera as I recall.

I still have and still use my original 2003 *istD, a gift from my husband. I used it with an old Tamron 28-300 and I think I've probably had some of my best pics off that combination.
