A fortnightly themed photo competition run by DPNow forum users for forum users. A curator chooses the theme and picks the winner and then becomes the new curator. It could be you!
Thanks all for the very kind comments. I have been smiling non stop since I read that I have won. The next competition will start tomorrow. I will post like all the others.
As regards the question on how I got this picture. I placed a large peice of black card on the floor and then another standing up to form the background. I then placed the tulips in foam stuff called oasis that florists use to arrange flowers. It costs £1 per block. Then using a gardeners water spray, I sprayed the white tulip until I had the required size of droplet and then used tissue to soak up the bubbles around the primary droplet.
The final adjustment of the purple tulip was made to ensure the reflection (Actually I think it is refraction but not sure) could be clearly seen. I used a sigma 105mm macro lens and lit the droplet using a lastolite reflector and that was that.
Best Regards
Josh
Nice one Josh!
Many thanks to the insight into how it was created as well.
Cheers, and I look forward to seeing what subject you come up with for the next one.

Well after all that effort, you really do deserve to win. Amazing what lengths people will go to to get a different picture (not just you, others as well - it makes my head spin). Thanks for your information and well done again.
Congratulations Josh. I thought all the entries had something going for them photographically, but yours was a very imaginative and clever take on the theme and gives us something to shoot for. Well done.
Just to play armchair judge, I also would have put Tom's dramatic shot in the top three, along with Pol's (I laughed out loud when I first saw it).
