What a difference a decade makes!

I came across the memory card on the left recently. It's an 8MB card that came with a Canon Digital Ixus 300 that I was given at the end of a trip to Japan to visit Canon in 2000. On the right is a 16GB card from Lexar and that has 2,000 times the capacity of the 8MB Canon card. It's also a great deal faster.



Of course you can now get 128GB Compact Flash cards, another 8x greater in capacity, or 16,000x the capacity of the 8MB card. Staggering numbers really.
