Photo critique Here is where you can display your images and seek the comment, advice and, maybe, constructive critique of your work. Only post your images here if you are happy for frank feedback. If in doubt, use the beginners board instead. Only post your comments here if you feel you can make a constructive and polite contribution in response to what is, for some, a leap of faith in exposing their work to your critical comment.

Street Scene Revisited

I recently posted a photo 'Cobblestones' to my gallery B&W & Toned! Having had a comment that it had potential but was too dark, I thought I would revisit and redo the conversion and ask for a critique! It is a pity we are limited to 800 x 600 as so much detail is either lost or not quite visible! Thus loses impact!

Re: Street Scene Revisited

Might help us if you got rid of the huge white border so we can see the detail at 800x600.

I'd have to agree with Andrew, reduce the frame size and increase the picture size. At present it really doesn't benefit from such a wide frame

Yes, the border took up far too much room! Here goes, sans border!

Re: Street Scene Revisited

Not too sure about this one. Something odd going on in the highlights on the road. The pile of cardboard boxes spoil it a bit.

Re: Street Scene Revisited

Really like this picture Joc, but, the fat frame and sigs spoil it, without these the 800x600 pic would have been very nice! and BIGGER
