Whilst looking for my current Salon image I came across 3 images taken on the same day and realised they had been taken for a panorama. So this is the result of them stitched. Its not perfect, I can see 3 flaws, but no matter it certainly gives a feel for a time that will live with me till I die.

Anyway I reckoned that many people have done panoramas, so lets see them here. Don't worry if they are bigger than the page, but scale to a max width of 1400 pixels

Here's one, which I don't particularly rate, but it was done handheld and just stitched together automatically in PhotoShop, which I think shows how easy it is to do.

Talking of panoramas, Has anyone ever done any VR panoramas? – something I fancied and meant to do, but never got around to.

It certainly gives the impression of a tightly packed cemetary.

I've never personally done a VR panorama though have worked with a colleague whilst he did one. The trouble is the extra kit and gizmo for the tripod.

I have however done iPix 360 degree panoramas. I have a client who requires them and supplies me with the kit, and I just send them the files unstitched. TBH I hate the thing, you have to take 2 exposures 180 degrees opposed to each other, but you can't avoid getting the sun causing flare.

Here's one I don't think I've posted before - a panoramic view of the waterfront at Wivenhoe in Essex.

Actually, despite being a reasonable stitch of 10(!) portrait images, I classed this effort as a failure because I clipped the top off the mast on the yacht. If only I'd angled up a bit....

Once again I don't think I've posted this one before (at least I can't see it in my gallery). An oldie (well, September '05) of Framlingham Castle interior taken from the battlements. We arrived late on the day (we hadn't planned to go there) and just caught the end of a "Medieval Fayre".

Looking through my shots taken that day I remember it was one of those glorious days that you sometimes get at that time of year and I also remembered we were in the wife's open-top (now gone sadly) and my neck got quite sunburned

Its amazing how looking through a few old photos can evoke great memories.
