  • Wedding photos at any price!

Whilst on holiday in Waikiki, Hawaii exploring the beach, I saw the wedding photographer and her bride and groom.

Diamond Head (poorly portrayed here) is a landmark mountain in Waikiki and it seems that the newly weds all appear to have some pics with this as the backdrop.

Here is the first pic I took just as a fun record for myself.

The photographer then moved them, so I positioned myself so that I could get a different photograph only to see a sun bather. I though she was going to ask him to move, but he was totally ignored. She was obviously just doing a head and shoulders shot with Diamond Head behind them.

It almost looks as though her dress is covering the sunbather.

A little while later, I saw them moving away amongst all the clutter, puddles, rubbish and cars.

I expect the end results were OK, but it was hardly a romantic setting; and just as I was moving away I noticed another stretched limo with another wedding couple waiting for that very spot.

Just goes to show what a good photographer can hide when taking photographs, I thought that these Islands were all very beautiful and romantic, People must have made the environment pretty desperate to go to these lengths.

Didn`t they used to say the camera never lies? just goes to show how some of the allegedly super locations really look.
Great capture on all those pictures

The camera almost always lies. A limited perspective, a narrow field of view, no sense of the context and just 2 dimensions see to that. And that's before we adjust our shots...

They are beautiful Tinka, but you can always find a bit of grot, can't you?

I haven't had time to go through them all, I have been fighting jetlag all week and trying to get to grips with Lightroom and one day I must have altered the time on my Fuji and accidentally altered the day as well so I have been moving my shots into the correct folders even though the "Date photo was taken" is incorrect.

If anyone has an easy free program to edit the date in EXIF I should be pleased for a link. I thought I had found one but after a lot of messing about and changing the date on each photo within the prog it didn't seem to change my original. Neither did there appear to be a batch function. So ATM I am forgetting it, as I am getting nothing else done.
