Cuban Fossil

[Autumn]

We were sitting on the beach in Cuba when I found this fossil and decided to try out the macro setting.

I have checked the horizon and although it doesn't look level, it is. It is the edge of the beach that is sloping.

I tried out Neat Image, but it took too much detail from the fossil (could not be bothered to select). I then decided the bit of grain added to the pic. What do you think?

well it works for me I like the sharp detail inside the fossil.

is it as bleached by the sun as it looks?
