Photo critique Here is where you can display your images and seek the comment, advice and, maybe, constructive critique of your work. Only post your images here if you are happy for frank feedback. If in doubt, use the beginners board instead. Only post your comments here if you feel you can make a constructive and polite contribution in response to what is, for some, a leap of faith in exposing their work to your critical comment.

A Couple of Birds

Not my usual type of posting. These were taken today at Lydford Gorge in Devon whilst eating our picnic. The Robin is one of about 10 attempts, the little blighters dont sit still for long

I think this one is a Jackdaw but I'm unsure

They're all goopd captures, Mike - I especially like the second as he's looking at you straight in the eye

Good use of the exposre compensation control I see

Robins (first pic) are always brave little buggers - he must have been quite close.

Best to use in the in-line original image insertion if you can, instead of thumbnails.

Ian

Re: A Couple of Birds

Hi Ian,
Yes the robin was about 5ft away. The others were about 10ft away on and off a bird table, as they seemed very people friendly I found my audible focus beepy thingy was great for getting them to look my way

Unfortunately those taken down in the gorge are ok as souverniers but nothing to shout about
Mike
