Re: Wharfedale views from the weekend

Smashing set, Ian

The first with the stone wall gives great scale.

The old house and clutter is well suited to the mono treatment.

I watched this last night, Ron.

I am also impressed. You made it look easy, although it obviously wasn't.

Re: Who Pulled the Plug?

Not a sight you see every day, Barr1e.

Surprised at how shallow the water is, looking at the river.

Really enjoyed the video. Very informative.

Re: A380 production to end

Nice !

We only fly short haul and for package hols. So the option to fly in this type of jet hasn't been an option.

Re: From the countryside today

The Kestrel is a little beauty, Barr1e.

We have Crocus's in the garden. But something has trampled on them.

Re: A380 production to end

That is an impressive looking beast. Never flown in one.

Not sure about double deckers. I like smaller jets.

Nice little vid. Sounds very loud.

Re: Playing with the Panasonic Lumix S1 full frame mirrorless

That's a nice image.
Would have been even better without the third person in the background. But as you were in a eatery, you wouldn't have had the choice.

Re: 2 seconds, hend-held using the Lumix S1

Sharp as a tack. The dual IS system seems to work very well.

Re: Playing with the Panasonic Lumix S1 full frame mirrorless

The LX100 Mark II produces a pin sharp image, and very natural looking colour.

Re: ISO 51,200 with the Panasonic Lumix S1

 That is incredible, Ian.

My Canon7D only has a maximum ISO 12800 and it would not produce a noise free image like that.

Re: Max with...

I enjoy watching Harris Hawks at work. Their flying through small gaps is amazing.

Thanks for showing these, Barr1e. The last shot of the hawk is best.

Re: The Boatyard

Looks like a Hare to me, Barr1e.

Boat yards are interesting places. Your photos show in good detail, the growth that attaches itself to the bottoms of boats.

It's a bird that I never tire of seeing either, Ian.

You are lucky to have them so near to you. We seldom see them here, and when we do, its from a distance.

Enjoyed seeing the rewards of your...

But I notice the typical rust at the bottom of the...
