Re: Playing With Shop Lights

A very controversial statement methinks

Without coming right out and saying it, Barrie appears to be alluding to the skin textures of this portrait. I have to confess that in this instance I...

Re: Model @ Focus 2

I would normally think that if it had been studio flash lighting he would have been using Manual, ISO2200 also seems a bit high and more the sort of thing you may potentially use for available light....

Re: Flash and getting those shadows softened

I thought as much and I definitely think this was the correct thing to do when taking these shots.

Out of the studio though in real world situations I will usually just use ambient light and...

Re: Flash and getting those shadows softened

It seems to me that the Gary Fong device is really intended as a supplement to the ambient light, in much the same way as a Stofen diffuser is. It is not a device intended for the studio, where...

Re: The upgrade society

Hi Barrie, I have the Epson P-3000 which is the same but with a 40GB HD
Frankly I have always found it to be ample. I can keep some of my favourite music on it, keep a few films on it, useful when...
