My Image of the Day

Back in March this year I started a thread on a photographic forum I run with the title "My Image of the Day". I invited my members to join me in posting an image every day. Anything goes in this thread and to date I have had 915 post, over 600 images and 13897 views for the thread. Not bad considering the small membership my forum has.
I've been a member here for many years and feel it's time we had a thread that generated a bit more activity so will you all please join me in trying to liven this forum up by posting an image each day. I'll start the ball rolling with My Image of the Day below.

British Sugar factory (Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk) in full swing.

This is going well :)

I will contribute shortly - I'm currently unable to access my main photo store because a hard disk on my NAS drive failed. Nothing lost (beauty of RAID 5) and anyway it's backed up, but the system is rebuilding with the replacement disk at the moment.

Thanks for supporting this Ian. Can I make a suggestion which may encourage members to post here on a regular basis. As far as I understand all images here have to be uploaded to the galleries. I find this time consuming and wonder if you might consider trying out a posting system I use on my forum. It's a little plugin that sits in the reply box. Members just click on it and choose from their computer files the image they wish to post. The plugin dose it all for them putting the required code into the reply box. Here is a link to their site. https://postimages.org/ At the bottom of the page are the options to install the plugins. You are welcome to see this in action on my forum at http://digital-pictures.freeforums.net/

No, there is no requirememt to upload to the DPNow gallery to show an image here. It's only the Salon contest where we ask this.

With the plugin you are suggesting, where do the photos get stored after uploading?

On Postimages free image host site. I just downloaded their plugin and paced my own wording "Add Image to Post" in the text box and a button appeared in the reply box. It really is so easy and quick to use. What code can be used here in the reply box if you say we can post without uploading to the galleries.

Great I have just posted this via Postimage site using their suggested forum code. This is a panorama I took with an old 2mg pixel Canon pocket camera I used to carry when out fishing. Click on the image and it takes you to Postimage site where you can click on the image again an see it full size.
