A new season of Picture of the Day starts today on Digital Photography Now. And to kick things off a photo that is both bizarre and beautiful. It's a shot of the planet Jupiter and it was taken with - you won't believe it - a web cam. Why a web cam and how? - find out on the DPNow forum.

Each day we will select a picture from the photo gallery and feature it on Picture of the Day (POTD).

To have a chance of getting featured in the DPNow POTD make sure you use the gallery to show off your talent. Registration is easy and it's free and also registers you on the forum.
