Hi!

Do stick around - I'm a newbie to photography as well (as opposed to taking 'snaps') and have found this site very useful. I'd agree with Ian, have a look on the forums where there are alot of really useful tips and ideas for people like us. Also spend some time on the galleries - there is no doubt that looking enviously at the incredible images others take, but then trying to figure out what they did and tring to replicate it, has improved my skills immensely already. (Tho I've still got MILES to go!!)
