Thanks for all your advice in the 'say hello' thread.
This is another shot taken on a return visit to the same location with the d700.
I really loved the shadows and textures on this one so decided to share.
Also not really related to the image itself, Ive always been a bit intimidated by the vastness of photoshop cs, so Ive got elements, and I must say I feel alot more comfortable.
Always strugling through with the basics before, Im on a mission to get a bit more in depth with my post processing.
So this Image has got what I feel is a pretty fancy border and drop shadow, which if you look at any of my other pics, I never acheived.
I hope you like.
Ash.

I like it Ash - in an abstract kind of way. The use of black and white suits this kind of subject well. I also really like the web presentation :)

The snow seems llike rather a long time ago now!

Ash, I like the shot and the composition. t-up The B/W certainly works well, though you need to a careful with the highlights.

I used to be a big user of drop shadows, and the effect certainly lifts the picture from the page. However I'm not so keen on the button effect with the bevel tool. Just my opinion though :)

Hi Ash. Very nice shot indeed!
If you use CS4 you may try to use the highlight-shadow tool to bring in some detail in the extreme highlights and solid blacks!! I use this it a lot with very incredible results!!! Regards, Horacio

I especially like the Sprite's face at the top of the post. In fact I think I can see one or two others clinging to the post and one of them is waving it's little hand at me. *LOL

It's actually a funky fun picci - a sprite's playground and they're waiting at the entrance to welcome us in.

Nice one, Ash.
