It was reported in The Times a week or so back, that scientists have made some breakthroughs in bending light that may actually effectively mean they could make things invisible.

Don't know why they're bothering…

Couple of weeks back I went round part of Manchester photographing all the cctv cameras belonging to a well-known organisation who own lots of central Manchester.

Naturally I was stopped by a security guard who asked what I was doing, naturally I explained (at length and in some detail), naturally he wished he hadn't bothered asking and went off to have a lie down.

Anyroadup, I thought it would be nice to have a memento of my day out and wrote to said well-known organisation and asked for the cctv footage of my little wander.

I told them the time/where I went, I sent them a photo of me taken on the same day, so I was wearing the same clothes and even photos of the cameras I'd photographed (and for good measure the longitude and latitude co-ordinates) .

Not a ruddy sausage – their cameras didn't photograph me once. Not much bloody good for spotting crime then are they?

Anyroadup – I got one memento of the day.
