I've been reading on a few forums about a possible replacement for the Canon 5D and ... the 1ds Mk III ..... as the MK III has a focusing problem !!!
The replacement would still be a 'full frame' but have a 'full' body, similar to the 1ds Mk II and Mk III.
Anyone hear of anything ... (or have I just emerged from the stone age and last one on the planet to find out !!)

New one on me. The MK111 should be ok by now as it has had some updates done to it some were hardware and some soft ware I think. The 5d is due an upgrade near the end of the year I believe. I have not seen anything about the change in body size??.

According to the guy at work, he reckons it will get the weatherproofed body ... a la 1Ds etc... bigger buffer to up the frame rate ....
..... then the phone went ... and so did the conversation !! :)
I'll ask him again tomorrow ....

Mmmm ... I think at £1400+ for a x1.3 crop 5D Mk II, I'll 'struggle' along with my 400D for now :\

Yes the Mk III's focus problem was fixed some time ago, it only affected early examples.
