That's a neat selective desaturation job, Mike. It does look like the day was overcast - it reminds me of our early morning session before breakfast in the lakes recently! But you do have the contrast which you didn't used to get :)

This seems just about right to me.
The slective colouring is a nice neat job which gives an added interest.

Pops , thanks for your feed back I do love b/w. My kids reckon I'm Mr Retro:D
It says so much when you take away the distraction of colour. I do struggle with conversion to B/W but will continue to strive to get it right.

Ian, it was actually a very sunny day............but I was in a wooded valley, I also tonemapped this prior to conversion..............basically to see if this helped with my flat point of view:D
Also this is a statement of my disgust that gorgeous county i am so lucky to live in also suffers from the same blight as the rest of th UK.

Ok got off my soapbox now:)

The building may be abandoned but as we can see the area has not been completely abandoned by man, the wheel and garbage are evidence of mans presence and attitude to the environment.
