How do I clear camera raw settings that have been applied to an image beforehand.
The thumbnails have a small icon on them to show they have been adjusted and I used to r/click the image and choose 'clear camera raw settings' which is not there anymore.
I could also select all thumbnails in a folder and again r/click and clear the settings.
This is with CS3.

I think I have found a solution Mick. If you open the file in ACR by clicking on the thumbnail, there is a drop down menu just under the histogram. This will allow you to reset all camera raw defaults.

That's not really what I am looking for Stephen.
I'm not the best at explaining things so I'll have another go.
When I open Bridge I have all the thumbnails of whatever folder I'm looking at.
On some of the thumb's is a small icon (circle with 2 arrows) that tells me I've opened it and made adjustments before (xmp file I think)
Anyway, if I want to clear any thumb's of these settings I have just r/clicked it before and chose 'clear camera raw settings' which as I say is not there in the menu. I can do the same thing by deleting the xmp file in the folder but that takes forever.
I used it with CS2 all the time and I have used it in CS3 on another PC so it's there somewhere.
Bridge in CS3 is a lot different to CS2 Mick , i'm still finding my way around , but it is easier and faster to open than 2 .
Under the edit menu open develop settings , that gives you the option to clear settings , not sure if thats what you wanted .
B..
Just noticed that the same menu opens if you right click on the thumbnail , that might be the same option that Stephen found .
Told you i was still trying to find my way around it too:D

I don't get that with either the edit menu or r/click menu.
I must have some option turned off somewhere.

Hi Mick,
In Bridge with CS3 the procedure has been changed so that the ACR settings can be modified in Bridge as well as being deleted.
Go to Bridge > Edit > Preferences
On the "General" tab select the "Double Click Edits Camera Raw Settings in Bridge"
Camera Raw will open and you can either reset or modify the ACR adjustments.

Thank's Roger but I still think I'm after something else so have done a screen shot of what I mean.
As you can see the image I have r/clicked on has been edited before and so has the little round icon.
In that menu should be 'clear camera raw settings' It is there on a different PC I've used and I have always used this before. You can also go to edit/select all and then r/click again and clear the settings for the whole folder.

Mine's different! Are you running Bridge 2.1.1.9 Mick, or another flavour?
Your screenshot shows 'Open with' but it lacks the 'Open in Camera Raw' which I get with a right click. When I select that one the picture opens in ACR, if you then hold down the ALT key, the 'Cancel' key turns to 'Reset'. An extra step but you get the option to adjust the original changes to the raw file.
Roger
Still not sure if thats the option you really mean Mick , but if it is you can open the folder click select all and then use the clear settings as you would a single pic .
I missed out CS2 so i don't know how much difference thier is in the new bridge .
Heres a screen shot of what you should get when you right click with a RAF file open .

Roger, I have 2.1.1.9 but looks like I'm missing the 'develop settings' option that Bob has.
Maybe I've turned something off.
Bob, the 'develop settings' option is on the other PC I sometimes use, but yes, that's what I mean.
Mick this intriged me so i checked all my settings in bridge and could'nt find any hidden menu's that you can re-set .
So i googled ''bridge+develop settings'' guess what?
your's is'nt an isolated incident .

It is the same problem and a common one or so it appears with no real fix.
The last answer did'nt work for me so maybe will have to wait for a patch.
