View Full Version : Millenium Bridge
This is one of my early attempts using the RAW feature of my camera in an effort to get better focused pictures. I also used the old telephoto lens on this one which I think may be producing better results than the kit lens in terms of focus that is or is this just a figment of my imagination?
On my next photographic outing I tend to compare the kit lens of the digital camera with the lens of the same strength from my old film camera which I have put away somewhere.

Hi Sue, I missed this one from earlier. I like the composition but I wonder if the mono conversion could be improved - it looks quite grey and a bit too cool for my taste.
And I'm curious about the referene to 'better focused pictures'. Can you elaborate? :)
Ian
Hi Ian
It is cool looking yeah - not sure how it got like that. When you say "quite grey" do you mean there should be more of your actual black and white (being the only other two colours in a b&w)? Or do you mean you would like more paler (or darker) shades of grey?
The reference to focus problems was in connection with my earlier post (The long lines of Langebaan) in this thread when there was a problem with the automatic formatting in my camera when shooting in jpeg. I have bought a few more memory cards now and am doing everything in RAW however it is a lot more time consuming in the post processing stages but I guess I will get used to it and find more efficient ways of doing things.
