I have an eight month-old desktop PC here, which is now surplus to requirements. I hand-selected the components and case myself, before having them assembled and tested by PC World. It cost me close to £700 to complete and the machine is in as-new condition.

The unit itself is a black powder-coated steel affair with a moulded black front panel. The Samsung Writemaster DVD RW also has a black facia, so the whole unit is very discreet and unassuming. The machine has 8 USB ports (all USB 2.0) - two at the front and six at the rear, as well as a Firewire port at the rear.

Here's the rest of the spec:

AMD Athlon 64 3700+ processor (Socket 939 version);

2GB of DDR RAM (2x 1GB) with room for two more;

200GB, 7200rpm Hard Disk (which will be formatted and will need an OS installing);

Ati Radeon Sapphire graphics card (7000 series);

Abit AV8 motherboard with desktop panel for adjusting BIOS etc via Windows;

On-board sound;

Belkin Wireless / Network PCi card;

4 fan cooling system (1 large induction....3 exhaust);

3 spare 3.5" drive bays on front panel

400w PSU
The machine is significantly faster than my previous Pentium 4 (2.4GHz) PC and it's been 100% reliable and stable. It can handle 100s of RAW files in Photoshop ACR without freezing or stalling and it does everything impressively quickly. Basically my work now involves a huge amount of multi-tasking and this means multiple programs running with large files simultaneously, which demands a dual-core set up, hence the need to sell this one. For most people however, it's got all the performance (and some) you'd ever need.

Okay, I think that covers it. If anyone is interested they can email me via the site and I will respond asap. Price-wise I'm looking in the region of £300, but I'm always happy to discuss sensible offers... :rolleyes:

No offers for it yet? I'll give you a tenner to take it off your hands:rolleyes:

Nope, no offers. TBH, I haven't advertised it or put it on Ebay yet, but I will do when I sort out the other stuff I need to offload. It's one of those low priority things that'll be put to bed when I have absolutely nothing else to do :D

A tenner? I think I'll pass, thanks ;)
