PETER!
Go and have a little sit down, and think carefully about what you have just done........
(Though to be fair, I used to be an avid watcher myself......but as I dont get home in time from work for the last few years, I have lost track.....)
P,S Eastenders is supposed to be good tonight! lol!

As, until next week, I have worked at home for the last three years or so, I can't really avoid stumbling across Neighbours at lunch time - but it's sooooo annoying. I was born in Australia and haven't been back since I was a toddler, so I find the show fascinating for that, at least. Don't watch it regularly though.
Oh - and East Enders is just depressing. The chap who plays Ian Beale used to be a regular at the pub my sister used to work at, incidentally.

Heard that it's going onto channel 5 .
Incidentely my nephew is Jack Ryder who played Jamie Michell and is married to Kym Ryder (nee Marsh) who now plays Michelle in Corrie .
He tells me he's soon to be in a new daytime soap opposite ''doctors'' on ITV .

Ah, now Julia and I should own up to being closet Doctors watchers, but I'm trying to wean myself off!
Julia's cousin's wife is Olivia Colman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olivia_Colman), currently in the Peep Show and has also been in The Office, The Green Wing, and on the original 'Kev' and 'Bev' TV ads :)

Cor blimey!
This is turning into a right name dropping thread haha!
Bob, thats some serious fame in your family there! :D
OK, whilst on the subject of name dropping, the best I can muster is my great great great great uncle, was Thomas Hardy. :D
Yeah, ok, its not like having a famous soap actor alive and well in your family, but hey! :D

I've visited his cottage just outside Dorchester .
Jacks Dad (my brother in law) had a number one in the 70's with a group called Wang Chang (dance hall days) .
I've met most of the Eastend actors when Jack was working there and hope when we go north later this year Kym will invite us around the Corrie set as well .
Oddest name dropping i've heard was when Barbara Windsor found out that one of her long lost anchesters was John Constable .:D

Oh what have I started. Sorry no one famous here. I guess that I am lucky in that the wife is not into all the soaps but she does like East enders. I will say that I was crying with laughter when Ian was running after the car and holding his bad arm. Like Ian says its all a bit depressing. Oh and some of the girls in Neighbours are Hot:D not the reason I watch t but it helps;)

I personally have never been one for soaps & particularly not since moveing to Australia where I now work shifts that vary! In previous years I worked the good old office hours! From what I gather, Neighbours is watched over here by a good number of people, but more so when Delta Goodrem or Kylie Minogue acted! The only time I watched it was when a person I knew acted as Delta's manager! Now for people who think some of the ladies hot in Neighbours, I would've certainly agreed that of Delta! We also get Coronation Street & Eastenders on our cable TV, but not into watching those!!!

Hi,
As well as Doctors on BBC1 the only other soap worth listening to is the Archers on BBC Radio 4. :)
A couple of interesting storylines at the moment and great that I can listen to it over the internet. When we went away for a couple of weeks I only missed one episode and that was only because I didn't have enough hard disk space to record it!
Also, if we are talking about famous family members my maiden name is Horniman, as in museum, restaurant and tea. The name has caused some hilarity from friends as you can imagine :\

What Julia conveniently fails to mention is that she's from the less well-heeled side of the Horniman family *LOL
