Mike Parr (http://dpnow.com/forum2/showthread.php?p=87&mode=threaded#post87) has pointed out that Internet Explorer users can use a rather good free spell check plug-in called IeSpell. You can download it from:

http://www.iespell.com/download.php

It's free for personal use. I've just tried it and it's not bad at all. It supports British, American and Canadian dictionaries and it is compatible with other IE form editing functions.

FireFox browser support is on the to-do list.

I'm still going to evaluate an embedded spell check option though as there are plenty of potential users for whom IeSpell is not appropriate.

I've found a free FireFox spelling checker, but it doesn't appear to integrate into vBulletin like IeSpell does. Instead you select the text to be checked, right-click and select the spell check option.

Check it out at: http://spellbound.sourceforge.net/

Ian; there is also the one I have been using for several years now. Tiny Spell, it does not plug in to explorer but runs separately, checks spelling in any application on the fly. :)
Tiny Spell Net (http://tinyspell.m6.net/)

Ah well, I have installed it but it doesn't work (doesn't find errors that are there) :(

Anyone had any better luck than me?
