George,
I really like your submissions, Ive been through your gallery numerous times. I have only been to the Greek Islands of Rhodes and Zante but we all fell in love with them, and your bright and colouful images are a treat to see.
Keep them coming, they are the type I wish I could have taken whilst there.........but its difficult on a family holiday:D
Mike
WOW! Great shots George - I particularly love the zinginess of the first three
jojo
No doubting the quality, they are all supersharp and vibrant.
I personally like the 3rd best. Unusual angle and a beautiful sky.
They all have their own unique composition.
Just a point about the last shot. Everything is dead centre yet it still works for me.
Lovely vibrant shots George. The image of the man with the newspaper is quite unusual.
Fishing pictures always appeal to me along nets and all the paraphanalia. As Mike says, "Keep them coming." :)

Mike,
Thanks for commenting.
You have been into one Ionian Island (Zakynthos or Zante, I lived there for a couple of years in very early age) and one Aegean Island, Rhodes.
Family holidays indeed are not the best for someone to exercise and enjoy photography.
It looks that the summer season starts little by little here in Greece as we see some tourists wondering around Athens and exploring the city totally dressed with summer clothing and observing us Greeks wearing jackets!
Both look each other strange for their way of clothing ;)
I don't have many chances to travel around Greece currently and take photos from different places, but I will have this chanve soon in the near future as I'm about to finish a big company project and be more relaxed to travel around on weekend escapes from Athens.

Hi Pops,
In the third shot you liked, I had the camera almost touching the ground and using the swivel monitor to see where to frame. On the right side of the camera there was a wooden fish case I wanted to avoid and I had to tight frame these guys, thus lost part of the net when he threw it in the back.
Though I do have around 6-7 different shots of them from different angles and positions.
The last shot is dead center too. I couldn't do different as this is an outdoors cafe in Sounio (area at the seashore of Athens where Poseidon's Temple is). The cafe has 4 stone columns in three different arrays with a roof and I took the picture from the opposite end of whee the gilrs where. I zoomed to avoid all columns, but I wanted to takethe table they were sitting, so the result is "dead center" but I think it works for me too.

Audrey,
Thanks for liking and commenting.
In a few days I'm traveling with my wife to her country (Serbia) to spend Easter there and more specific to Belgrade. I will be away for 15 days and hopefully when I get back I will have some good photos from there to post, before the summer Greek photos ;)
George
Thank you for posting them, your photographs most always have a relaxed warm feel to them (excluding the angry men in the last set). I can almost feel the sun on my cheeks too, with such vibrant colours. You do have a good eye for composition - making me think a little more perhaps.
Enjoy your break and I look forward to seeing more on your return. :)
