I saw this the other day but it was not official then so did not post anything about it. This would be nice to see in the flesh so to speak.

I am at the moment watching the moto gp test that was eurosport yesterday, not sure if I can get excited about that as at the end of the day it is just testing. I will watch the world super bikes after that.

What a superb and innovative way to capture the media's attention to Global Warming.

Lucky you off to the Silverstone Weekend. I went a few years back but that was when it was moved to April and it rained all weekend. I was hoping to get to monza this year and see Schumacher race but that is not to be:( .

I remember that year very well.... We were stuck in mud all day Sunday and didn't get out until late that night.
That weekend ended up inspiring the governemnt into finally building a proper in-circuit road.

Yes I do not think I will forget that one any time soon. That was the first gp that I ever went to. I just wish that back then I had even half the gear I have now. I reamber when we got there schumi came out and span the Ferrari just outside the pit exit the crowd just loved it;) . The other thing that hit me was the sound of the cars. They just sounded so sweet. We First saw a Ferrari come round the corner at Luffield and could not believe the sound of it:D , then a McLaren came round and that just sounded so much sweeter:( .

Hi Peter - I live 10 miles from Silverstone so will be avoiding the area at all costs!

I'm not complaining - it brings much needed revenue to the area, so one or two weekends of avoiding the main road 'tween Northampton and Towcester isn't too much to put up with, and besides - I've got too many friends who work for Honda/Benetton/at the circuit to wish them out of a job.

Believe it or not, the only time I've been to Silverstone in recent years is when the local schools hold their soapbox grandprix there. It was on TV, but the ex taped over the video...

So, when's Bahrain? ;)
