Straight, with a hut on a slope. No problem when there's a reasonable reference point.

There's an ancient church in Kent that never looks right due to the shape and slope of the building, doors, windows and grounds. The verticals of the school next to it are the best reference point. The problem with that is it's on a sweeping bend right next to the road, also on a slope and you can't stand in the middle of the road and faff about trying to frame the shot. It's made even worse by the fact that the conical shaped bell tower and steeple is on the ground instead of the top of the church.. and the sloping steeple isn't on level ground either. :D

If bigbob is reading this ..... I refer to Brooklands Church, near Brenzett. Did you ever manage to get there? School holidays are the best time, otherwise the place can be congested with the 'school run' traffic so you wouldn't be able to get clear shots so easily.
