Well had nothing to shoot last week and knew the wife would be watching the x factor last night:(:mad: so I thought I would have a go at a self portrait using just one light. Not easy to do as I found out. When I try this again I will try shooting tethered to see if that helps. Should have used a reflector on the right side to help fill a little bit of light in. Again not easy on your own :(.

I tried this once and the results frightened me. :eek: *LOL

I rather like the image and it will be interesting when you post another with a little fill light.

Thanks guys. I think it will be the weekend before I am able to try this again. I have more time then and what to play around with the set up a bit more.

Thanks for all the replies. I have been thinking about this over the last few days and may well add an extra light. Not sure if it will just be a hair light or a back light to help with the separation. I may also just try a few with the reflector just to add that little bit of light to the shadows.
