I'm feeling very happy today even though I have man-flu. Despite being on PAYE I've apparently managed to over-pay the tax man and he's sent me a cheque out of the blue for £1,100 *clap *clap Father Christmas IS real after all!
In time honoured fashion I've been instructed to hand half over to 'er indoors *inlove but, as it is an unexpected windfall, I'm allowed to spend my half (£500!?) on me *crazy
Which brings me to the point - has anyone tried the new(ish) Zigview S2? I've just been looking at the blurb on the Warehouse Express site and it looks pretty cool and a god-send for wildlife photography with the 10m remote option and the motion sensing.
I remember reading some lukewarm reviews about the original version, mainly around the refresh rate, but I note that the S2 has 25 fps which should be as near real-time as it gets?
I can't find a decent technical review on the web yet which surprises me a bit. So, if anyone has first-hand experience of the kit they'd be prepared to share or can point me at a review I'd be obliged.

Stuart, I'll contact the UK distributors, Intro2020 and ask if they have a review sample of the Zigview S2 (http://dpnow.com/2987.html) available.
Either that or you should trade-in for an Olympus E-330 (or a Leica Digilux 3 or Panasonic Lumix DMC-L1) with built in live view :)
Then again, you could try and win the E-330 we have up for grabs this month (http://dpnow.com/3241.html)

That would be great Ian - I'm sure there are others using this forum and / or the DPnow web site that would also be interested in your review.
Can't believe I hadn't noticed the new competition! Excellent prize and obviously I've entered now!

The eval ZigView S2 unit has arrived. I haven't charged the battery up, but here's is a first look, mounted onto a Pentax *istDL

Most popular Canon, Nikon (presumably Fujifilm FinePix as well), Pentax and Konica Minolta/Sony Alpha finders are catered for with adapters in the box, though not Olympus or Sigma.
The viewfinder adapter needs to be screwed in to the ZigView unit with four little screws and, potentially, a small plate - though I haven't yet found the instructions for that!

Just wondered how you got on with it Ian or is it still in the review queue? :)
