There was a time when a new dSLR from the likes of Canon would have created a bit of a stir on this site, esp one with over 10mp. Yet today there has been barely a murmur other than in passing.

Are we getting blase about such an event? After all we have had new models from Nikon & Canon, not to mention Olympus, Sony, Samsung, Pentax even Panasonic already this year.

I find it odd that there has not been more said, when unlike many other models, this new one from Canon raises the bar again. We already of course have 10mp cameras, even ones with built in anti shake, but to have both and with the rest of the spec in a camera in this priceband I find amazing.

Seems to me anyway its going to give Nikon a run for its money, and I wonder which will be the first on the shelves.

TBH I'm more than happy with my 8.3mp APS-H sensor and blindingly fast shutter so I wont be buying
