Hi Bob,
what an unluck you had repeatedly with the OM4s. I still keep both OM4 and OM4Tib. I do not think somebody will steal those good old fossils anymore. Thanks for the digital age.
When some guy steals it, he must be surprised to know it is even not an AF camera.
But I was once cheated at internet auction, when I wanted to buy a medium format film camera.
So in that sense, a similar experience.
I later added another new OM4TiB for showing my appreciation toward the OM system. This one not for use.
I really enjoyed photography those days with OM's.
IMHO OM4 and OM4Ti(B) are two different cameras. The battery comsumption of OM4 is incredibly faster. I recall when I made a complaint at Oly's service shop, a man proposed me to change the entire elec. circuit board, though I declined it.
The FP flash (synchro at ,say, 1/2000 sec.) is only possible on OM4Ti.
A typical DSLR seems to me an all-in-one camera when I compare it to OM series or that kind of cameras. I think I'm happy with those new features.
The only regret might be, perhaps, I do not think very long when taking pics with DSLR.
