I agree some nice extra features, the spot meter, the larger viewing screen, fast start up and other bits and bats, but many of the other features will go unused by most.
When the 20 first appeared a guy in the club had one within weeks, he had upgraded from the old 30D (confusing isn’t it)
his print quality didn’t appear to show much if any improvement to mine, and he knows how to get results from his kit. The mono mode was brilliant particularly at high ISO I did fancy that, but the improvement just didn’t justify the outlay. With the 10D being worth less now than then, it would be very hard to convince the good lady wife I need to spend approximately £800 to upgrade for the improvements I am reading about, frankly I can’t convince myself.
Yes the 10D by today’s standards is long in the tooth, but it is still a pretty good camera and worth more at least to me than its trade in or EBay value.
