TBH Patrick, if I was still using a 10D I'd definately buy this camera. There are I feel significant advancements to makeit worthwhile, and when you add these to those already in the 20D, you have a superb camera.
There is a very interesting review by Rob Galbraith http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/multi_page.asp?cid=7-7891-8214 which is definately worth a read and some of the new features are talked about in more depth. The last part of page 2 where he compares it some extent with the D200 is also interesting, though of course your type of photography may have a bearing on your decision if you were undecided about which way to jump.
The fact is that the 10D is somewhat long in the tooth now, and the 30D is worlds apart from it. I never regretted my move from a 10D to the 20D, it has given me much better results as well as the advantages that it offered over the 10D. For me the move up cannot be justified as much, and as said earlier if I was going to upgrade and I could afford the expense,I would go for the 1DMk11 N, but I suppose its horses for courses.
