Hi Bob,
another eye-catching news. I heard here a rumor that Leica might introduce 4/3rds lenses but never heard of a 4/3rds body. Of course, they can sell the coming Panny under their brands with some modifications ...

After reading this, I checked whether or not Leica joined the 4/3rds assosiation but could not find their name.
It is of course possible that the association has not updated the list yet - though it is IMO less likely because, if Leica joins the association, it's a good and huge advertisement for the existing association members.
And I donot think that Leica will develope a 4/3rds system under the reverse eingineering, either.

Or new comers names are only added after its product introduction (confused) - I donot know.

It is said that it usually takes around two years to R&D a new digital camera, although Panasonic and Leica might be able to do it in much shorter time.

My view, of course, can be wrong. As you say, we will know it in ten more days or so. (wink) - cannot wait Ian's reports. I sometimes wonder if or not he has already written some manuscripts based on his available information. (big grin)
Thanks again for the additional interesting news. much appreciated.

Just my precautionary view to avoid disappointment at a later time. (smile)
