Photokina 2010: Sony previews Alpha A and E mount plans

Sony says seven more lenses are in the pipeline for its NEX mirror-less range and a high performance Alpha model too
Image 9: Katsumoto san recognised feedback from both users and journalists needed to be addressed in order to improve the experience and options for users of Sony's new NEX mirror-less cameras. So the NEX-VG10 mount adapter that enables A-mount lenses to be fitted to NEX bodies will soon get a firmware upgrade that allows contrast detect AF to work with selected SAM and SSM AF lenses for the first time. In response to feedback that the NEX camera user interface is not accessible enough to more expert users, a firmware upgrade for the NEX bodies will enable the user to access shortcuts to frequently used camera functions.
