KODAK Mobile Service features a premium sport wallpaper service

Mobile Phones can be personalised with exclusive sport images

United Kingdom, 23 August 2004 – Starting today, as part of KODAK Mobile Service, Kodak offers easy access to premium-content sport images that can be downloaded and saved as wallpaper on mobile phones. Taken by high profile photographers, these images capture the most intense moments of past and current sport events, conveying emotions and memories to share with friends, family and fellow sport-aficionados.

“KODAK Mobile Service makes it simple for digital camera and camera-enabled phone owners to easily make the most of their pictures and videos on the go,” explains Philippe Kalmbach, general manager of Digital Imaging Services, (EMEA), Eastman Kodak Company. “From now on, they can also access exclusive, high-quality image libraries to download their favourite sport pictures and save them as customized wallpaper.”

Easy access to premium-content sport images
The library includes artistic sport images, illustrating popular sport categories such as football, rugby and tennis. In line with the growing enthusiasm for outdoor and extreme sports, the library also features surfing and skateboarding pictures.

The French photo agency AFP will regularly supply the library with outstanding pictures from international competitions in a large number of sport categories, ensuring wide coverage of the European sport scene and the opportunity for people to find recent and premium images for download.

By sending to 87050 a premium rate SMS with the message KODAK OG (Web) or KODAK OG1 (WAP), customers simply receive a WAP link that lead them into the KODAK image library. Once in that library, they can select their favourite sport images and download as many images as they want on their mobile phone.

This wallpaper premium service is available in the UK at a premium SMS rate of £3.
