pewidane - or Peder Winge, a retired former train driver from Denmark was one of our most prolific and consistently good member photographers. Sadly, he passed away last year but his photography is as resilient as ever. There are hundreds of images in Peder's gallery to choose from and almost at random I have chosen this beautiful black and white abstract, a genre that Peder was always adept at. I just love the wispy light reflected at the top, followed by a more defined impression of a window projected onto the wall. Meanwhile we have a virtual land and horizon in the form of what looks like a furniture cover or bedspread at the base. The composition also lends itself very well to the grey mono tones and Peder has also framed his picture carefully. This is just one of many beautiful images Peder created and we can continue to enjoy.

We are always on the look out for great pictures posted to the user-galleries here on DPNow. POTDs are selected from the gallery and featured every week day.
