The Pen E-PL1 is aimed at users who aren't necessarily interested or conversant with f-stops, shutter speeds, and other complicated photographic terminologies. Sp the E-PL1 has been provided with some control screens that enable certain shooting parameters to be adjusted with a simple slider action and reckoned by viewing the LCD screen:
