An interactive guide to the Olympus E-1 through cutting-edge simulation
The Olympus E-1 simulation is an innovative, fully interactive introduction to the E-1 digital SLR camera through state-of-the-art programming technology. To explore the camera through this unique perspective, from the convenience of your PC, simply visit www.olympus-pro.com.
The simulation provides a demonstration of the complete range of modes and menus. And is programmed in Java to allow fast loading times for real-time presentation.
Once the demonstration begins, the camera can be controlled via a mouse click on the desired function button or by dragging the mouse to rotate dials or the zoom ring. In order to explore the full spectrum of features on the camera, it is possible to switch between three different views of the camera. The selected settings remain the same even after changing the viewpoint.
Furthermore, the simulation provides a short interactive tutorial and a help menu about the selected functions, modes and settings. For example, you can take virtual pictures in image capture mode, while navigating the entire range of options in image playback mode. Further imaging effects include the camera’s zoom function.
