Mérignac, France – 18 January 2008 PNY Technologies has announced the launch of a new member of the Optima family, the 8GB Compact Flash Optima, a high capacity card for digital reflex cameras.

With standard digital cameras now offering a minimum of five mega-pixels, and higher performance models becoming increasingly more affordable, consumer needs in terms of flash card performance have changed.

In particular, SLR digital camera users now require larger storage capacities with faster data transfer rates, to match the speed and performance of the camera.

Compatible with SLR cameras only, the PNY OPTIMA Compact Flash™ offers a minimum writing speed of 9MB/sec and 8GB storage capacity: the end-user will enjoy their digital device performance without any constraint!
