3542: Fujifilm UK unveils its latest digital workflow product

Release Issued by Fujifilm UK:

Image intelligence portrait set to revolutionise portrait industry

February 2007Fujifilm UK has unveiled its latest digital workflow product, created specifically for companies specialising in school, graduation, sports and in-store photography. Image Intelligence Portrait is a groundbreaking package designed to batch process digital image files, helping to increase the efficiency of laboratory processes and speed up the processing of high volume portrait production.

The software utilises Fujifilm’s innovative face detection technology to calculate ideal printer settings and improve consistency across laboratory production. It can be used as a stand-alone process or to compliment fully managed workflows. The high speed automation of image correction for printing means that a single operator can correct large production batches with ease, allowing them to process more image files than multiple operators using conventional editing software.

Comprehensive training is also provided by Fujifilm along with on-going support available by email or peer to peer connectivity.

David Honey, Group SBU Manager - Photofinishing, at Fujifilm UK comments: “Image Intelligence Portrait has been created to enable professional studios and laboratories to dramatically improve their workflow. By embracing the latest technology, it provides businesses with a head start over the competition and the means to grow more quickly than ever before.

“The professional imaging industry continues to adapt as new technologies and practices enter the market, and Fujifilm is committed to partnering organisations to help them achieve their full potential.”

The benefits and features of Image Intelligence Portrait include;
- Simplification of the pre-production process
- Reduced image analysis
- Consistent high quality prints
- Film quality prints from digital images
- Improved output shadow to highlight detail
- Faster and more intuitive than other image adjustment applications
- Improved quality of individual and group portraits
